Yeesh, I need to get more comments on here and the pics of my painting! Blerk.

I've finished my first commission - 8 x A5 size painting of cats. Had to get used to a serious squint for the detail but it was great fun!

MOVIES:

The best I've watched so far is District 9. Truly an excellent and epic movie with a nice non-happy ending in a Stephen King hanging-in-midair kind of way.

Go South Africa Whoohoo! Am very proud of my country for delivering such a superb scifi fliek.

The saddest is Pixar's Up. Don't get me wrong I'm a big, big Pixar fan. But seriously the whole first half of the story had me in so much tears I couldn't enjoy the rest of the film. It's worse than when Nemo's mother got killed, worse than Bambi's mother...just worse! Too. Too sad. And probably the ONLY pixar movie I will not buy.

BOOKS:

Shoot me but I've started the Black Tower Saga of Stephen King. Yeah yeah I know it's been out for ages but I've never been a King fan till now. Not that I am, as such - his books have too many swear words and for the sex scenes.... to say the man is a twisted fiend would be an understatement. BUT. I like his writing style. I like his stories and their endings, and frankly I was just curious about the dark tower.

Oh, I've finished Inkheart....

That's all I've got to say. The movie in this case was a lot better. Usually it's the other way around for me.
